It was the fastest I’d ever seen him ride.
Loading up the bikes onto the van using our new King Joe Yakima rack made it all feel like an adventure. It got us out of our driveway-sidewalk-driveway rut and into a family bicycle adventure.
On this day we went to one of the many new paved bike trails in the state. The trails aren’t just for bicycling. They’re good for walking, running, skating, or pushing a stroller as well. In my opinion, they are a fantastic, yet under-used, community resource.
The trails are safe, family friendly and usually in a visually appealling or historically significant place.
Here is a start to a list of paved/maintained trails in Utah
(I’ll add more as time permits so check back. If you have a suggestion for a trail leave a comment)
Davis County
Old Emigration Trail
Farmington Creek Trail - (Lagoon Trail)
Salt Lake County
Porter Rockwell trail
Utah County
Provo River Trail

Tandi,
The boardwalk is a small section of the Old Emmigration Trail in Syracuse. (See link above) This section is between 1700 S and 700 S.
Enjoy!
